Mysterious and rare these “black pearls” of the East have been hunted, sliced, dried and imported directly for your culinary pleasure, black winter truffles. Simply soak a few pieces of the dried truffles for an hour in hot water, beer, wine or Madeira when soft they are ready to use and the juice makes a superb base for sauces and gravies. Add to omelettes, risottos, mash potatoes, truffle butter, venison, turkey to add that delicious earthy, garlicky flavour.
